The Zentrum für Sonnenenergie- und Wasserstoff-Forschung Baden-Württemberg (Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg, ZSW) is a non-profit foundation of the Federal State Baden-Württemberg and various institutions and companies. For the research department Fuel Cell Fundamentals (ECG) , at the Ulm site, we are seeking as soon as possible a

PhD Student (m/f/d)  in time factor 75%

Your areas of activity:

  • Preparation and physical-chemical characterisations of MnO2-based materials and electrodes
  • Comprehensive electrochemical investigations for the charge storage properties
  • Paritcipating in cooperative reserach works with academic and industrial project partners

Your profile:

  • Above-average university degree in chemistry, electrochemistry, physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry or comparable qualification
  • Natural appeal for the development of in-depth working hypotheses and their scientific verification
  • Ideally good knowledge in the fields of batteries and electrochemical charge storage processes
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and scientific evaluation software, e.g. Origin
  • Very good English language skills and strong expressiveness are an advantage
  • Ability to quickly acquire expertise in new topics, structured and goal-oriented approach to work
  • High level of commitment, problem-solving ability and ability to work under pressure
